Hi All, I'm a newbie to this forum and I have what appears to be a serious issue When booting my Dell Latitude E6410 (which has an SSD), there is a really loud noise coming from the left side of the computer (what i think is the fan?). It's also very hot and the login screen freezes and I am unable to login) I am however able to login in safe mode no problem and there is no noise or excess heat. I thought that maybe the problem was related to my use of the Anti-Virus program Avast, so I uninstalled and used their uninstall utility. I also ran MalwareBytes and Super Anti Spyware per other suggestions I had seen in forums. I'm copying my list of installed programs below---I allready cleaned out all of the temp files and deleted anything that seemed iffy or not in use. Please any help would be hugely appreciated. Hi, On the left of your laptop are the air vents.
I suggest you to clean the air vents of the fan with compressed air. The next step I recommend is to update the BIOS. Go to support.dell.com > click Drivers & Downloads > insert the system Service Tag > select the operating system you are using >go to the option of BIOS > download the latest version of the BIOS. If the issue still persists create a new user profile. Please follow the below mentioned steps: 1.
Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click on the “User Accounts” icon. Click on the “Manage another account” link. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes. Click on the “Create a new account” link. Type in a name for the user account, select (dot) to make the user account either a Standard user or Administrator account, then click on the Create Account button. In your case, I would suggest you to make Administrator account. The user account is now created.
It is recommended that you create a password for this user account so that it will be password protected. Do the needful as per your requirements. When finished, you can close the User Accounts window. The new account's C: Users (user-name) folder will not be created until it is logged in to for the first time. So after creating a new Administrator account, log off and log in back. You can even refer to for creating a user account. Do write back to us with the results.
Thanks and Regards Priyanka S #iworkfordell.
